The Eight Wonders of Caledon

ANNOUNCING! THE EIGHT WONDERS OF CALEDON CONTEST. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RFL. THE ANCIENT WORLD HAD SEVEN WONDERS, WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT.

This being a contest where for a fee residents can nominate a build that they consider worthy of inclusion in the eight, residents can then pay a small fee and vote for their choice.

A plaque will be issued to all those nominated, and a more spectacular one to the eight holders of the Title.

If you wish to nominate a candidate please fill in the notecard given to you from one of the special vendors located at Hope Mews and Denver Hax's home In Eyre and scattered around Caledon, and return to Denver Hax before the close of nominations - midnight SLT Saturday 5th of April .

A voting board will be erected in the organisers front garden (opposite the Hope Mews) in Eyre, this will go active once nominations are closed, and a list of candidates and SLURL's will be dispensed from the posters and be available from the forums. Voting posts will be at the site of each nomination and at the voting board itself.

We are working on an honour/honesty payment system for the voting, as we believe that no decent person would deny payment to the cause of RFL. (but you will get a nice 'I voted' button/badge).

The Rules: (yes we have to have them).

1) The build must be in place or undergoing completion from the announcement of the Contest.

2) One person one vote per round, suggested donation 55L$ minimum, anyone can vote - it is not limited to Caledon Residents.

3) Anyone ( with the exception of creator of build and the organiser of this contest) can nominate as many candidates as they like (fee payable - 500L$ minimum), all donations are non-refundable so if it turns out more than one person nominated the same place, it's all to the good of the cause.

4)This can be any build in Caledon, private or Commonwealth, house or structure or vehicle that has permanent (per se) existence in Caledon.

5) The contest is open to all comers.

6) At the close of nominations an independent Arbitor will be appointed to judge any ties, the Arbitors decision is final.

7) There will be several eliminator rounds depending on the number of nominees.

Any comments or concerns please contact Denver Hax.
